Arrow S5 Ep. 10 Quick Thoughts

"Who Are You"

This week's episode of Arrow was a solid return to form with its character drama, decent action, and story twists. Aside from admiring the idea of Arrow diving into some of the Flash's multiverse elements (via Black Siren), my favorite thing was to see the Star Labs' meta human prison actually being infiltrated by Prometheus. It was a pretty disappointingly brief and offhanded scene but it made me realize just how knowledgeable and powerful Arrow's new season villain truly is. Let's just hope that it gets acknowledged on next week's episode of The Flash for continuity sake.

Pretty decent fight scene showing off the formidability of Prometheus

Overall, this was a pretty great episode primarily due to the character drama spotlights showing a sense of grounding and progression with our beloved cast of vigilantes (especially Curtis). We got to see Felicity take charge in a logical and not so annoying fashion which was refreshing as well as Laurel's legacy being highlighted in a pretty interesting way. I look forward to seeing what the rest of the season holds now that Talia has been officially introduced on the show binding the storytelling of the flashbacks and present day arc.

This season of Arrow has definitely proven the value of the overall series despite the major issues that plagued its track record in the past. I can honestly say that Arrow has currently reclaimed its high rank status on the roster of Comic Book TV shows.

Bonus Content

1. Is Prometheus The Perfect Villain For Arrow?
The season villains on Arrow have always been powerful opponents for the vigilante archer to confront. However, Prometheus seems to be the most interesting considering his many moments of countering several of Oliver's "special attacks".

Episode Rating: 8/10
