"A Bitter Pill To Swallow"
This week's episode of Gotham was one of the greatest in the series so far with its entertaining action scenes and colorful characters spotlighted. The introduction to the underground assassin agency was a welcomed new setting that I hope will be revisited down the line just as Arkham Asylum and the Indian Hill division of Wayne Enterprises has done in terms of potential villain introductions.
Speaking of villains, I really enjoyed this underground agency's first spotlighted character on the show with the Eduardo Flamingo character as this cannibalistic assassin who manages to take out an entire reinforcement team on his own. I'm happy that they didn't kill him off in the end as it does open the door for a future return whether as a main episode villain or perhaps working under a much more significant and recognizable villain in the future.
One of the greatest things that this series has done so far in its 2nd season run is expand on its universe with rich characters and lore. Gotham in itself, going by the comics and other forms of media, is supposed to be filled immensely with interesting stories and personalities, so if there's anything worth praising significantly about the show in its current state, is that Season 2 has finally began placing the name "Gotham" on the high pedestal of quality where it rightfully belongs.
